Media Matters 2026 Summer Internship program is looking for a News Reporter/Journalist to join our fast-paced editorial team. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience across print, digital and video—while covering an evolving, tech-driven industry.
Working closely with the Editor, you’ll contribute to a wide range of content, from breaking news and feature stories to social media and video. You’ll also learn how to think strategically about content—how it’s created, distributed and measured for impact.
What You’ll Do
- Research, write, edit and proofread content across multiple publications and websites
- Contribute original stories to our daily industry news coverage
- Develop product spotlights and industry features
- Adapt and publish content across social media platforms
- Conduct interviews and produce engaging feature stories
- Apply SEO best practices to digital content
- Assist in creating video content for news and online use

Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Journalism or related field of study (preferred)
- Experience with SEO and social media publishing (an asset)
- Familiarity with WordPress (an asset)
- Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop (an asset)
- Knowledge of the collision repair industry (considered an asset)
Additional Details
- Job Type: Full-time, Seasonal (Fixed-Term)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts
